What's the coldest you think paving could occur? It gets -40c here. I get the frost issue. But what about hot-in-place, etc? How can the season be extended to full year?

Why asphalt curbs not concrete

I've always said that my self, "think about the guys with the shovels and rakes." I've run excavator for 15 years for the DOT and were always changing pipes, putting in catch basins, ditching, and paving, etc. I think I've gotten to be a better operator because I was once that guy with the shovel and rake breaking my back because the operator didn't care about the laborer, and I'm always think of how I can do it better so they don't have to work as hard.

I'm surprised you guys don't run a strip of tack coat under your curbing. I guess maybe new asphalt to new asphalt gives it enough bonding but we always used to throw a little under just so the plow guys really knew when the hit a curb. Beautiful operation 👏 👌
